Hi I'm Gareth Edwards, advanced Oxygen Advantage breath work coach, strength and conditioning coach, qualified personal trainer and small business owner. I've made it my mission to make functional breathing a normal part of our every day lives, whether that be for performance or health/wellness outcomes.
Having retrained my own breathing during COVID-19 in 2020 under the expert tutelage of Patrick McKeown, founder of the Oxygen Advantage and world renowned author, I have become passionate about helping others change the way they breathe to better serve our movement, emotions and overall wellness.
Functional breath work is something for everyone, no matter age, gender or physical ability.

The Breathing Basics
The basics of breathing focus on learning to use the nose as it was intended, in conjunction with correct use of the diaphragm and restoring carbon dioxide tolerance to efficient levels for functional breathing.
By returning to optimal breathing patterns which involves the nose, correct use of the primary breathing muscle the diaphragm and articulation of the ribs it can literally impact every aspect of our lives. It can change our posture, improve movement and mobility, reduce pain and influence conditions of stress and anxiety as well as improve how we digest food and improve the quality and duration of sleep.
How Does it Work?
Over your series of either in person or zoom sessions with me you'll be introduced to the biomechanics and biochemistry of your breathing patterns, how to test and understand your BOLT score, how to use your breath to manage stress, breathing to recover from exercise, breath holding as a functional tool to improve your body's relationship and tolerance to increased levels of carbon dioxide in the blood.
